It’s always fun to be able to have a Twin Cities Burger Night at a place I used to frequent over the years. My fellow #TCBN ers, @phatphood & @shawnsrodgers have been on board with pretty much every restaurant I’ve wanted to visit, even if it’s just me wanting to go back to places from my past. This is one of those places.
I’ve spent a few nights since they opened back in 2001 with a great steak and their signature chopped salad on my plate. I can’t really say I’ve ever had their burger. Now I can.
Most established steak places have great cuts of beef, and Wildfire is no exception. Prime angus beef in the 8oz. form, takes care of your meat needs nicely. They totally nail your desired temp. It’s juicy and has good beefy flavor. I didn’t see it on the online menu, but you can definitely add pretty much whatever you want including different cheeses, sauces and bacon. I went with white cheddar, caramelized onions and picked their tasty peppercorn sauce. This burger comes with nicely chopped lettuce and a fresh tomato slice. The sesame seed bun is toasted and works well.
I love the old steakhouse feel to this place. They have a sweet martini lounge where you can get 1/2 price appetizers from 3:00-6:00 during the week. .
