I was in Kansas City for one night and thought a burger would be a good thing. It turned out to be a great thing!
In searching for the best burgers in Kansas City, the Westport Flea Market Bar & Grill kept coming up. Not one to deny myself a trip to a Flea Market, I set the gps and made a beeline to this bar.
They have been voted Best Burger in Kansas City many times. I can taste why!
This is a 10oz. Monster of a burger and is sourced locally from the legendary McGonigle’s Market. This beef is seasoned well, juicy and even had a slight salty taste which I love! I chose grilled onions which were the perfect texture and delicious. I added bacon, which was very flavorful and cooked just right. I always select American cheese. What else?
Once you pick up your burger from the pickup window, you can use their self-serve bar to add fresh shredded lettuce, pickles and also slather some thousand island type sauce on your bun. The bun is sesame seed and lightly toasted. It works.
Definitely a must stop in the Kansas City area! I really liked this burger.
