We have a Burger Day. We have a Burger Month. Is that enough? Nope! Now we have a Burger Fest at Village Pub Not a day, not a month, but four months of Burgers. Village Pub will be offering a new burger every week through March. By my calculations, that’s 16 burgers. The new burgers will start on Wednesdays.
Let’s kick off Burger Fest!
This American Wagyu beef from Stockyards is exceptional. The single patty is nicely seasoned, juicy, and cooked to a true medium temp. Smoked cheddar cheese melted on top. Two strips of perfectly cooked bacon. Their mushroom duxelle is prominent on this burger. It’s a finely chopped mixture of mushrooms, onions or shallots and fresh herbs like thyme or parsley, cooked to a paste-like/pâté’ consistency. If you like mushrooms, you’ll like it. It has an intense mushroom flavor. I did like it. It might make it or break it for you. You get some delicious truffle aioli swiped on the bottom bun. Let’s talk about this bun. It’s perfection! Soft, lightly toasted. You may not find a better bun than this one from Hilltop Hearth. It feels so good in your hands.
Make sure you are watching every Wednesday for what creation they’ve come up with, and if it speaks to you, make plans for a visit. I may have peeked at the Top Secret list of the 16 burgers. I can tell you, there are a few that will be calling your name! Don’t forget about their Wednesday night, Build Your Own Lucy. Their Lucy’s are among the best in the TC’s
Thank you, Chef Tyler, for having us be a part of the Burger Fest kickoff. Our server, Ella, made sure we had everything we wanted. She rocked!
If you fancy a flavorless, unseasoned burger, this may be hazardous to your health. This one is on the very well seasoned edge.
