Can we Talk?  That’s usually a question I don’t want to hear, but when we are talking about a place that focuses on fresh food from local farmers, I think we need to have a Talk about that!

The historic Town Talk Diner Building, has been around since 1946, but don’t expect Classic Diner food when you go.  This is a modern American eatery tapping into the local farm, fresh food movement.  It’s casual, quality eating and drinking.  The menu does change frequently, but I’m pretty sure the burger stays on the menu.

Let’s Talk about the Burger.  The beef, from the Busted Knuckle Ranch was juicy, flavorful and totally hit my desired temp.  I would have liked a little more seasoning, but I was happy with the beef.  Smooth, creamy Havarti cheese is nicely melted on top.  Some delicious caramelized onions top that.  There are two very thick strips of bacon.  It’s like thick crispy pork belly.  There are also a few flavorful roasted type  mini tomatoes, a few very good pickles and some delicious house made aioli swiped on the top and bottom buns.

Everything inside the bun was delicious.  The house made bun was toasted perfectly, but I noticed it was very dense when I first held it and took the first bite.  This is a good burger, and with a bun tweak, would be a very good burger.  I did like it.

Thank you, Sasha, for some great service!

I was able to hunt down John, who you know as @burgeraweek.  John had his own burger blog way before I did.  I’d definitely recommend a follow!  Great to have a burger with you, John!
