This place used to be an old neighborhood gas station. I stopped in, not looking for gas, but for a burger. Let me tell you, I’m one satisfied customer!
This is the kind of place you dream about finding. An old gas station? C’mon! It’s a cool place, with one fantastic burger!
There are two quarter pound patties made of a blend of brisket, short rib & chuck. These patties were charred, flavorful and juicy! They were about as juicy as you can expect from a thinner patty. Perfect!
Nicely melted, American cheese covers both patties. You get one big pickle on top. Next time I’ll ask for a second one. It was really good. I was thinking about adding bacon, when my server asked if I wanted to add some of their pecanwood bacon. I marveled at his mind reading skills and answered, “you just read my mind”. The bacon was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor to it. Score! The “Pub” bun was lightly toasted and worked just fine.
This burger is all about the basics. The delicious basics of meat, cheese and bun. It also passed the, “do I immediately want another one?” test with flying colors. Yes, Yes I do!
I really loved this burger!
