I’m back in the North Loop area of Minneapolis, where there is no shortage of good restaurants, and more importantly, good burgers. A place you may not have heard about is tucked away off the main drag that you may not find even if you were looking for it. What is @thr3jack? It’s a sports bar, but with a little twist.
They have 6 state of the art golf simulators separated in rooms off the main bar & restaurant. You can get great food and drinks while you have a ton of fun golfing. Not golfing? No problem. They have a very nice restaurant area and a very cool, long bar. What about the food? Their made from scratch menu certainly takes bar food to the next level.
They created a very good double smash patty burger. The patties are juicy and have a super char. Two kinds of cheese, American, and the buttery and sweet havarti cheese. Both melt nicely into the beef. Their house pickles are tasty. They also have a sweet dijon sauce that is delicious and they give you enough to enjoy throughout the whole experience. Now the bun. It will evoke a response. It’s a nicely toasted bun from @bakersfieldflourandbread made from whole grain wheat flour. I will say it’s the best wheat bun I’ve had. It is a little denser than what you are used to and the wheat flavor taste is unmistakable. I’m very curious what you will think. You’ll have to try it to find out. I think you’ll like this burger!
I loved their Bootleg Sticky Wings. They are full size chicken wings so you get the drums and the flats. The chicken is so tender and juicy with a flavorful citrus glaze and a sweet & a little spice from peppadew peppers.
Don’t forget the warm chocolate chip cookies to share after your burger. They may even give you a glass of milk if you ask nicely. 😉
French fries are of the shoestring variety. Very good. Get a side of that sweet dijon for dipping.
