Another fun Thursday, Twin Cities Burger Night with @shawnsrodgers & @phatphood.  We are working our way around construction in Northeast Minneapolis to get to our destination, The Draft Horse.

Construction has slowed down business for The Draft Horse restaurant, but it’s not stopping the #TCBN team.  The Draft Horse has some great food and drinks, a cool building, a nice patio and a very long bar that you can belly up to as well.

The burger?  It’s good!  They have so many local food places they get things from including the Limousin beef from @petersoncraftmeats, which was juicy, cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely.  Two slices of American cheese totally covers that beef.  Fresh tomato, lettuce and red onions are provided on the side to let you finish building it the way you like.  Me?  Pickles.  A bunch of really thin sliced, tasty pickles is my jam.  Make sure you add bacon when you get this burger.  I opted not too and I’m regretting it.  It’s fantastic!

Then there’s the “secret sauce” they slather on the bottom bun.  Well done!  Get some extra on the side.  The bun is from @bakersfieldflourandbread and it’s fantastic!  Soft, yet firm, and nicely toasted.

This is a really good burger!  The Draft Horse took care of everything we needed and they will take care of you.  They are also running beer and wine specials with the purchase of a lunch or dinner.

#TCBN Team = 1, Construction = 0!  Let’s not let construction win.  Stop by The Draft Horse and have a great time with some great food!

Make sure you check out the posts from @phatphood & @shawnsrodgers .
