I know, you’re thinking typical bar food? Nope! Not the burger! This might be the best Sports Bar Burger I’ve had.
Their signature burger is loaded, so stay with me. It passed the juicy test. It was very close to medium, juicy and had a nice little char to it. I added bacon and it was cooked so perfect, I actually teared up a little bit. It was not too crispy, just awesome!
Cheddar cheese tops the patty, but it was actually melted very well, unlike other places who have trouble melting their cheddar on a burger. They add a few sautéed items to the burger. Onions, green peppers and mushrooms. All three were cooked beautifully. The onions were great, the green peppers did not overpower at all and the mushrooms, not sautéed in a red wine sauce or anything like that, were good. They added a couple of pickle slices. The bun was simple, but good.
I was very impressed! I really like this burger!
They have another burger I want to try, it’s called the Portland Burger. It’s their version of the Big Mac. A couple of coworkers really liked it.
Game or no game, do your tailgating at the Tailgate Sports Cafe!
