There’s a cool place on the former Nye’s Polonaise Room site I think you should know about.
Twin Cities Burger Night with @phatphood & @shawnsrodgers stopped in to visit Sonder Shaker. They’re kicking out some kickass food and drinks.
Cassidy, Chef Jake, and their staff will totally take care of your wants and needs. We went through a bunch of creative drinks and appetizers leading up to the Sonder Burger.
The burger has a nice feel to it. The beef is a tri-blend of chuck, brisket and bacon, ground in house. It was juicy and flavorful. The smoked cheddar was melted beautifully and was a great choice.
They throw some fried onions on top. I’m not a huge fan of the highly piled, very thin haystack fried onions on my burger, but these are not those. They blended in very well and enhanced the overall experience. Chef Jake’s B&B pickles have a nice acidic bite to them. I loved them. The BBQ aioli is fantastic and that is drizzled on the top bun. Of course I got a side of it for my fries.
The bun is soft and perfectly toasted with that nice little crunch around the outside of it.
This is a burger and a place you need to check out. Relax, kick back and enjoy some great food and a very good burger!

Sweet potato fries – Good.
Crispy fried ribs – tasty!
BBQ Aioli – tangy and delicious!
