Travel Post:  On our way to Rocky Mountain National Park between Denver and Estes Park is the town of Boulder, Colorado, the home of the University of Colorado.  Close to the University is a total dive restaurant called Snarfburger.  Did I say small, hole in the wall, burger shack?  Yep!

This place is frequented by college and high school students who want relatively cheap, good food.  A lot of people say this is the best burger in Boulder.  I would say, they might be right.

This is just a messy, delicious burger.  I got the Double Snarfburger and added bacon.  Thin patties cooked on a flattop grill, charred nicely and relatively juicy and a little greasy.  You can add as many patties as you like as well.  American cheese melted on each patty and perfectly cooked grilled onions.

The standard burger has pickles, shredded lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, ketchup and actually hot sauce, which I didn’t see at the time I ordered it, but it did add a nice little kick to it.  The bun is soft and lightly toasted.  This burger was fun to eat, the place was fun to visit and I would stop here again if in the area for sure.  I would get it without hot sauce next time, but I still loved it!

French Fries – OK.
