Northfield, about 40 miles south of the Twin Cities, home to Carlton College, St. Olaf and also Post Cereals and Malt-O-Meal.  It’s also home to a really good burger!

This burger definitely has that smokey feel to it.  The beef is house smoked, ground brisket that has a really good flavor.  Smoked cheddar is the choice of cheese.  Dark, smokey caramelized onions cover the patty and add to that delicious smokey flavor.

They call that beautiful sauce poured over the top of everything, smoq’n sauce.  It is something you want to put on everything and dip everything into.  It is fantastic!  The bun is simply perfect!  It’s so soft, buttery, lightly toasted and just delicious.

You could wait until you are in the area to stop by, but I suggest you plan a trip just for this burger. It’s that good.  I also want to give a mention to the Hand-cut fries.  They are fantastic on their own, but when you dip them in that smoq’n sauce, the result is delightful.  Also, if you’ve never had authentic Canadien style poutine, they have it!  The best poutine you may ever have.

As I’ve stated before, for a lot of burgers, I just wanted to have another one.  It was fantastic!

They also have a location in Faribault, MN.

Hand-cut Fries – Fantastic!

Poutine – Incredible and authentically Canadien!
