My Top 5 revisited. Pretty much everyone who has seen my Top 5 list says “Park Tavern?”. Yes, Park Tavern! I know, it’s been a bowling and entertainment center for 50 years and probably hasn’t been mentioned as a place with a great burger. It should be.

Chef Eli Renn, @eli_renn , who has plenty of Twin Cities Burger Cred, was brought in and made some major changes and additions to the menu. The Butcher Burger was without a doubt his best addition. This burger is fantastic! Chef Renn has moved on, and Chef Matthew, @bobbyscallopini , has taken over the kitchen. I can tell you this, the Butcher Burger is still fantastic!

This burger melts in your mouth. It feels like a pillow of deliciousness in your hands. This is a double patty blend of ribeye, short rib, sirloin and butter. These are loose beef patties, charred beautifully and super juicy. American cheese is perfectly melted over each patty. Whiskey onions have a great flavor and top the patties. The final topping is a delicious horseradish aioli. The main street bakery bun is soft, lightly toasted and fantastic.

I believe this burger belongs with the rest of the Top 5 burgers on my list that you know so well. I think you’ll love it!
