The craft beer scene in the Twin Cities has been fantastic for years, but what about the craft beer taproom/brewery food scene?  My experiences have been mixed, but I think we’ve turned the corner.

I visited this place a couple of years ago and came away enjoying the appetizers and sides, but the burger didn’t really stand out.  I believe in second chances, and improvements certainly have been made.

The beef, offered pink or no pink, didn’t hit my pink request, but boy was it super juicy, seasoned well and charred beautifully.  Winner, winner!  Cheddar cheese tops the patty.  Sweet, caramelized onions were delicious. I’d like a few more though.  Under the patty are a few thick sliced pickled cucumbers, which are closer to cucumbers than pickles, but I enjoyed them.  There are also a couple of very thin slices of what seem to be pickled tomatoes.  Finishing the veggie part of the burger are some greens.  Everything under the beef patty is marinating in some very good tasting house-made mayo.  The mayo stood out for me.  The egg washed bun was soft, lightly toasted and very good.

I liked this burger!
