I remember when Nolo’s opened a little over three years ago.  I had heard that they didn’t want to be known for their burger.  My opinion may be a little skewed, but in this town, you want to be known for your burger.  It’s their best selling menu item.  Guess what?  Nolo’s has become known for their burger!

Opening up a restaurant in the North Loop area might be tough enough by itself, but when creating a burger just a few blocks from a place that might have the best burger in the Twin Cities, there may be a little added pressure.  Chef Pete’s In-N-Out inspired cheeseburger definitely should relieve some of that pressure.

It’s a Double Double.  Double meat and Double cheese.  Peterson Craft Meats provides the juicy beef, Chef Pete puts a nice char on it.  America provides the cheese, Chef Pete melts it beautifully.

Caramelized onions top the patties.  A couple tomato slices and a couple thin leafs of butter type lettuce sit below.  A few tasty thin sliced pickles are spread around the bottom bun sitting in their delicious burger spread.  The Turtle Bread Company bun is soft, toasted and awesome.

If you can’t get out west for one of those famous burgers, give Nolo’s a chance to satisfy your craving.  It’s a fantastic burger!

Fries – Delicious!
