This week’s Twin Cities Burger Night took us across the river on the 2nd leg of our 3 leg St. Croix River Burger Tour. This one was quite a bit different than our usual visits. We decided to go “Wild and a little Outrageous” as the menu states.
You are not going to want to miss posts from my fellow TCBN team of @phatphood, @shawnsrodgers and our special guest @vraamoney_eats. There are some great pics!
This place was hoppin’ when we got there at 5:00pm. I wanted to do something totally different and just a little risky. The Cheese Bomb is a fairly normal burger with a big twist at the end. The Premium Wisconsin Angus Chuck was cooked perfectly and was juicy. Double Wisconsin Cheddar is melted on top. Some really good Thick-Cut Bacon is next, then some crunchy Fried Onions Straws. The bun from @gramdmasbakerywbl was soft, lightly toasted and good. The burger by itself was really good, but the kicker came next. Our server, Emily, took her gravy boat, filled with delicious Pepper Jack Cheese Sauce, and slowly poured it over the top of everything. That was a new one for me. It was just a lot of fun. I have to admit, trying to review the burger on its own was a little difficult with the pepper jack cheese sauce dominating the experience. The experience was 5 star! I promise I will come back for a normal burger experience to tell you about. The menu is loaded with a ton of great items. You can build your own burger as well, which I just might do on my next visit.
Thank you, Emily, for your expert recommendations and first rate service. Thank you, Pete for spending some time with us as well. It was good to have @medic5us join us again. It was also great to meet @jen.millin. She brought us a couple of delicious, and huge, specialty cookies from @buildtreats. Thanks, Jen!
French Fries – You can choose from 3 different fries. I had Buffalo Bleu Fries and they were very good. They also have Cajun fries and Jalapeno Fries.
Cheese Curds – Awesome! They have 4 different kinds of Cheese Curds. Get the sampler. You will want to try all four!
Wisconsin Style Poutine – Very Good!
Crispy Fried Pickles – Very Good!
