Fantastic Burger at Mercury Dining Room and Rail in Downtown Minneapolis? Yep!
This one caught me off guard a little bit. I wasn’t expecting this burger to be this good. What stood out for me were a couple of things. When you’re working with thin double patties, they can easily be overcooked and dried out. Don’t worry, they got you covered!
This double pattied beauty was juicy, flavorful and had that nice char on it. Not one, but two kinds of cheese. American tops the bottom patty and provolone tops the top patty. It was perfectly melted and worked so well.
There is a really good brown mustard mayo slathered on the top bun and the house made pickles were fantastic and oh so pretty. I don’t come across too many poppy seed buns, but maybe I should. This bun was soft, lightly toasted and a great choice!
The other thing that stood out for me is that burger intangible. I just got that soft, warm and deliciousness feeling as I was enjoying this burger. That’s a feeling you just don’t get a lot.
We don’t know who the Super Bowl Champion is just yet, but I do know who my Burger Champion is. Mercury Dining Room and Rail!
