It’s 2020.  It’s a year I think most of us would like a do over.  Wouldn’t it help a little bit to be pampered and treated like royalty, if only for a short time?  I can help you with that!

What am doing in Savage?  Lake & Irving is in Uptown.  You’re right, but they’ve been doing a Pop-Up in Savage for 3 months.  Their cheeseburger is fantastic, so I was excited to try the Luxe Burger.

Getting back to being treated like royalty.  The Luxe burger is royalty.  It’s luxurious, it’s high class, it’s what you deserve!  It’s starts with @patlafrieda premium steakhouse quality beef.  A blend of whole muscle, dry aged short rib and chuck that is chopped, not ground to give it a more “steaky consistency”, as owner Chris Ikeda tells me.  It’s top shelf.  The two 3.5 oz. patties are super juicy, seasoned well with truffle salt and cooked to a nice medium temp.

The white American cheese is melted perfectly.  Looking for more luxury?  Foie gras butter is added.  It’s fatty and buttery.  It’s rich, it’s decadent.  Black summer truffles give it a hint of garlic-like flavor.  They also have a shallot aioli they call their special sauce.  It’s a blend of kewpie mayo, ketchup, Dijon and shallots.  It’s fantastic!  The Mainstreet Bakery brioche bun is lightly toasted and very good.

You can add a couple slices of their delicious Duroc bacon if you like.  Get it once without and once with.

If you’ve always wanted to try an elite gourmet burger, the Luxe Burger is it.  It’s going to bring a smile to your face.  There are a lot of places that do the simple, meat, cheese and bun burger beautifully.  This is not it.  This is a carefully scripted, Chef created masterpiece.  This is a burger work of art!

You’ll be able to enjoy this south metro pop-up through fall, but don’t wait.  Luxury awaits!  Yes, you can get the Luxe Burger at the original Lake & Irving in Uptown.
