I was asked where I wanted to go for dinner. I said “Thai sounds good. I haven’t had Pad Thai in a while”. I was then asked, “but I thought you wanted a burger, not Pad Thai”? I then said “you are correct, I want a burger and I want Pad Thai”. Lucky for me, Kuhn Nai Thai has their signature dish, the Pad Thai Burger!
As you would expect, this burger has a very Asian flare to it. I’m not sure what goes into the house-made beef, but it definitely has a unique taste to it. It was good. It wasn’t super juicy, but the flavor was there.
I didn’t know what to expect on the noodles side. Chef Flip went with crisp noodles in a thin patty type shape. These sit on top of the beef patty and give the burger a nice crunch. The noodles are topped with lettuce, shredded carrots, green onions, bean sprouts and cilantro.
What makes this burger pop, is the delicious, specially made peanut sauce. It’s provided on the side, but you are expected to pour, yes pour it over the burger. I would pour it right over the beef patty itself and then put the noodles and toppings back on and pour the rest over that. The peanut sauce ties everything together. The bun was fine.
If you are expecting a regular burger experience, this won’t be it. This is Thai fused with American. Fusion they call it. I liked the experience.
So, the next time someone asks you where you want to go for a burger, you might just say Khun Nai Thai!
Spiced Fries – Very good!
Stuff Chicken Wings – Very good!
Pork Belly – Good.
