You may have heard me say a few times that I’m trying to hit more places up in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities.  Actually, I’m going to make it a resolution for 2019.  But why wait until 2019?  I’m on it, and it’s a good one!

I believe they were a first time contestant in the Twin Cities Burger Battle @tcburgerbattle this year, they finished 2nd in the People’s Choice and 3rd in the Judge’s Choice.  Pretty good for a first time TCBB contestant.  Something else that’s pretty good is their Maconstein Burger.  In fact, I loved it!  I stopped into Zombie Burger in Des Moines a few months ago and had their Walking Ched burger.  It has deep fried mac & cheese as the buns and it was very good.

J & J’s version puts a Giant Deep Fried Mac & Cheese patty on top of their angus beef patty.  If for some reason you don’t want that on top of your beef patty, get it anyway, take it off and eat it by itself.  It has the perfect crunch and is creamy and delicious inside.  It’s fantastic!  I would order it as a side as well if I could.  The grilled 1/4 angus beef patty was very juicy and seasoned very well.  The beef patty is topped with provolone cheese and some smokey bacon.  You get some tangy, paper thin pickles and some good pickled onions on the side too.  The sauce you see dripping off this burger is their bbq ranch sauce and it’s delicious.  The soft, perfectly toasted brioche bun was money.  This is a fantastic burger!
