If you know about Ike’s, you probably know about their “Charlies”, a great beef tenderloin slider, but the burger I had today, is worthy of your immediate attention!
The hand formed angus beef patty was cooked absolutely perfect! It was flavorful and juicy! Most of their burgers have cheddar cheese, but the Tavern Burger has American cheese, delicious apple wood smoked bacon, a couple slices of tomatoes, shredded lettuce, a few pickles and a sliced red onion, which I swapped out for really good grilled onions. They were closer to caramelized onions in texture. They add some of their own Zesty Tavern Sauce to the top bun. The onion bun was soft and lightly toasted.
Ike’s has three locations around the Twin Cities, plus the MSP Airport and US Bank Stadium. There’s no reason to pass one by! I really liked this burger!
Ike’s Triple Threat Chili – Fantastic! I would stop here just for the chili!
Ike’s Fries – Ok.
