This Holiday season and throughout the Winter season, you may be looking for some hearty Italian food. Things like Spaghetti and Meatballs, Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine and a menu item that might give this place away, an Old Fashioned Hot Dago. Yes, I’m talking about @degidios.restaurant
My most recent visit had me wanting to try their Bolognese, which was delicious. What I wanted to do is make sure you don’t forget or overlook their fantastic DeGidio Burger, hidden amongst all of the classics.
It’s a feel good in your hand burger. Soft egg bun. The two 1/4 pound beef patties are a soft blend of brisket, sirloin & chuck. They are juicy and soak up the delicious, Italian, Taleggio & Fontal, super melty cheese blend. What cheese doesn’t melt into the beef, drips down the sides of the patties.
A few sliced, crunchy dill pickles line the bottom bun. Their Fancy sauce is a tasty yum yum type, that hits its mark, beautifully. I do have to mention that the patties were a decent amount smaller than the bun, but that’s easily correctable.
If you don’t want to stray from the classics, don’t. Order the DeGidio burger along with your Spaghetti and Meatballs and share it. I’m betting there will be more burgers ordered on future visits.
