When you’ve done over 30 Burgers of the Month, you will have some fan favorites.  Al is bringing back one of his most popular burgers as his June BOM.

It’s been 2 years since I gave this fantastic burger my highest rating.  Guess what?  Nothing has changed.

Al perfectly seasons the 1/2 pound patty with his housemade southwest spice blend.  Your mouth will come alive.  Those spices assist in putting a nice crusty char on the patty.  The juices drip down as you take each bite.  Pepperjack cheese adds a nice little kick.  There is an appetizer on their menu called jalapeño chips.  The jalapeños are hand-cut, dipped in buttermilk and fried.  The buttermilk mellows the heat a little bit and gives them a really nice flavor.  Chef Al throws a few of these on top of the burger.  You will want to pull every last one of them off and enjoy them as a snack, but leave them on and see how nicely they incorporate themselves flavor wise and texture wise into the burger.

A roasted jalapeño aioli gets swiped on the top and bottom buns.  It’s super tasty.  The Denny’s Fifth Avenue Bakery bun is pillowy soft and lightly toasted.  It certainly was one of my favorite BOM’s from Chef Al.  I’m glad it’s back for the month.  If you missed it the first time, now is your chance.  This is a great burger!
