The way 2020 has gone, could you blame someone for going on a bender for a night? Well, if you decide to (safely, of course), Chef Al has just the thing for your recovery.
This burger will soak up any alcoholic spirits that might still be in your system if you need it to or it will provide a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner meal for you.
It always starts with a 1/2 pound, well seasoned, juicy beef patty. You can’t see it very well, but there is American cheese melted over the patty. I have seen some places put a few deep fried cheese curds on their hangover burgers, but Al takes it up a notch and deep fries a few curds, puts them together on the grill and smashes them to make a deep fried cheese curd patty, so you can kind of call this a double patty burger.
Next are a few strips of perfectly cooked bacon. It’s finished up with an over easy egg that you can yolk poke and watch it ooze down the side. Not quite done here, swiped on top of the toasted Denny’s Fifth Avenue Bakery bun is Al’s own sriracha thousand island spread, which is a blend of sriracha, mayo, finely diced pickles and scallions. It’s delicious!
I’m glad I was able to get here early in the month because I really want to enjoy this again. It’s delicious!
