I must admit, I love a good Burger.  I also must admit, I love a good Dive Bar.  Now, when you give me a good Dive Bar that specializes in good Burgers, magical things can happen!  Twin Cities Burger Night #tcburgernight, with @phatphood @shawnsrodgers & myself, are hanging out in “Nordeast” Minneapolis at Tony Jaros River Garden to check out the kitchen now being run by Josh Thoma and Chef Nick O’Leary, called, you guessed it, Burger Dive!  @burgerdivene .

If you are a little confused, maybe I can explain.  Yes, a kitchen with its own name is located inside a bar of a different name.  These are two separate entities.  Glad I could clear that up for you. 😉 What do you come for at Tony Jaros?  The Greenie, of course!  Well, you may be adding The Burger Dive House Burger to your must have every time list soon!

The beef is definitely of the loose kind.  The two 3 oz. patties are a ribeye, brisket, chuck and butter blend.  They have great flavor, a great char and were seasoned pretty well.  The white American cheese was melted perfectly and certainly became one with the beef.  The minced onions were perfect.  They were placed in between the patties and marinate in the beef juices and all of the melted cheese.  Adding a few delicious pickles to the mix makes me happy.  A specially made local bun gets toasted and finishes off this basic, but not ordinary burger.  Don’t think twice about checking out this new Burger venture, just Dive right in!

Thanks, Josh, @smackchefjosh for having us in!  Becca, @11horner11 will tell you and get you everything you need.  Check out the boys stories and posts for a lot more info.  They’ve got some great takes.

French fries – Very good!

Wings – Very good!  We tried the dry rub.  It’s a full wing including the drummie and the flat.

Cash only, so bring your greenies before you have your Greenie!  ATM is onsite.
