It’s National Hamburger Day! What better place to be than at the burger place of not only a Nationally known, but Internationally known Chef, Bobby Flay. I’ve watched him for years on the Food Network, bought his books, and been to one of his restaurants, but never in his Burger Palace until today.
If you follow me, you’ve seen me talk about New Mexico and my love for green chiles. I’m feeling Bobby’s love as well. He nails this baby! This beef has a happy ending. Cooked to my pink order, charred nicely, juicy, and get this, I could taste a little salt. The beef has a nice soft feel to it. Creamy, flavorful queso sauce is poured over the patty and drips down onto the plate. Next, there is a mixture of delicious, roasted green chiles that kick the heat up to a perfect level. So enjoyable. The pickled red onions cool things down just a tad. The only thing keeping this flavor bomb from 5 stars is the bun. It’s not a bad bun at all. It’s what you would find in a supermarket. It is a soft, toasted, sesame seed bun. I’d love to see it taken up a notch. You get a huge, half sliced dill pickle to chomp on as well.
This is a great burger!
Fries – Fantastic! BBP fry sauce is delicious!
