Twin Cities Burger Night hit the south metro again for a visit to the 2nd B-52’s location in Lakeville. This place has been open a few weeks and was hoppin’ last night. @phatphood & @shawnsrodgers brought a very special guest, @stephaniemarch. She is the Sr. Food Editor at Mpls/St. Paul Magazine and she is super cool. Stephanie wrote the burger story a few years ago that played a big part in my decision to start my Burger Blog. I’ll have more on that down the road.
This burger has been their most popular since they opened the Lakeville location. It’s fun to add the items I love. Those items are usually American cheese, caramelized onions and bacon. One thing I’ve always said is that B-52’s special blend of beef has a unique flavor and texture. That hasn’t changed. Do I know what it is? Unfortunately, I don’t. I was looking for pink, but it didn’t quite hit it. I was told that Worcestershire sauce is added to the blend, which might explain the lack of pink. It was pretty juicy. Seasoning? It seemed to be fine. It had plenty of American cheese. The caramelized onions were cooked nicely. The bacon hit my desired mark. The signature B52 stamped bun was squishy, lightly toasted and very good!
We know B-52’s has burger cred with their winning results in the very first @tcburgerbattle, and by backing it up with another win two years ago.
If you want to build your burger, this might be the burger you want. If you want burgers outside of the standard box, they’ve got a bunch. It’s all about choices. B-52 gives you a ton of them.
