I’ve been trying to schedule a burger visit to Alma for quite a long time. This burger is not on the menu and only available on Thursdays at 5:00pm in the café. Yeah, I know.
Is it worth all of the scheduling trouble? I would say it is. It’s a very good burger!
This is a good looking burger. The first thing you’ll notice when you actually stop taking pictures and pick it up with your hands, is the unique house made brioche bun. It reminded me of a buttery croissant. It has similar texture, but in bun form. I liked it a lot. This might be the first time I started with the bun.
The beef has a great char and is pretty juicy. I loved the two cheeses of gouda and American with a splash of blue cheese as well. They have a sauce they call “ooh mommy” dressing. All I know is that it’s fantastic! Don’t overlook the pickles. They are really good! I liked the way they chopped their lettuce as well.
I’d recommend clearing a Thursday night on your calendar for a visit.
