I use the words, “coolness factor”, a lot in describing places I visit. I visited a place where the coolness factor is about as hot as the fires it used to put out.
Didn’t you always want to go to a Fire Station as a kid? You just might want to check this place out as an adult. They’ve done a fantastic job turning the former Station 10 Firehouse into a restaurant. What kind of food would you serve at a fire station? You’ve got to have a good burger, don’t you? They’ve got a good burger. In fact, they have a couple of good burgers.
Yes, I’ve had both burgers on different nights. I told you the coolness factor was high.
Station 10 Cheeseburger – Double smash patty, muenster cheese, pickles, A-Side house sauce.
These double patties are smashed beautifully. They put a great char on their signature beef blend of chuck & brisket. My patties were seasoned well and had some juiciness too.
The cheese is Muenster. It’s soft, mild, buttery and melts so well. A nice choice. Tasty, thin sliced pickles sit below the patties. The A-side house sauce definitely adds some flavor. The brioche bun is lightly toasted and a very nice finish to this burger. I think you will like it.
Burger rating – 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
A-Side Burger – Brioche bun, double smash patty, bacon, carmelized onion & garlic, gorgonzola dolce, cherry aioli.
There is another burger on the menu that you will want to try. Their signature A-Side Burger with unique cherry aioli and fantastic, @nueskes bacon, a soft, blue, buttery cheese called Gorgonzola dolce, delicious caramelized onions with garlic chunks and the same double smashed beef patties and brioche bun.
Both burgers will put out your hunger flames!
Burger rating – 4 out of 5 stars.
