If favorite burger conversation does not include the A Fat Burger from 6Smith, you need to get out to Wayzata immediately!
I’ve got a couple of “Best Ever” items from today’s trip to 6Smith. The A Fat Burger is fantastic! The first thing you will notice is the lava flow like cheese oozing out from under the bun. The cheese is Blaser’s Sharp Cheddar fondue from the very well-known Ellsworth Creamery in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. I have to say this was the best tasting cheese I’ve ever had on a burger. I would drink this stuff with every meal!
The beef includes two ¼ pound, thin patties cooked quickly to seal in the juices. The delicious applewood smoked bacon is from Nueske’s, and is very well known across the country. It was very good! There is also a bacon and onion jam spread on the close to perfect, lightly toasted brioche bun.
There are also slices of fresh tomato, red onions and lettuce and some thinly sliced pickles on the side. I’ve been getting used to places shredding their lettuce, so I took off the slices of iceberg lettuce just because. The pickles were a little flat for me.
I immediately threw the A Fat Burger into my Top 10. I really love this burger!
French Fries – Possibly the best ever! Truffle aioli was delicious!
Loaded Mac & Cheese – The creaminess and incredible taste of the Blaser’s Sharp Cheddar fondue, along with the Nueske’s bacon, put this at the top of my Best Mac & Cheese I’ve ever had! Incredible!
